5/18/22 - Community
Since locating in Cloverdale we have looked for ways to engage the community. We are finding our way around, but also want to make connections with people. We tried a couple churches, didn’t find a fit. We are going to local businesses and trying to engage. And we are looking for community activities to participate. Here are the things that have been connections so far.
The Kiawanda Community Center (www.kiawanda.com) in Pacific City has regular fitness classes and groups that meet, so we have tried that and met some people.
The local high school had a production of “Li’l Abner” that we enjoyed. And it feels good to see someone you know already when you go to something in the community.
We have connected with some local businesses.
PC Pour is a wine bar in Pacific City (www.pc-pour.com) Bob and Tina (owners) and their staff are kind, friendly and sweet. We have been there for a couple game nights, Bingo and Bunco, and look forward to a “paint & sip” event coming up soon.
Meg’s Beachwood Bar and Grill is a fun place. (www.megsbeachwood.com) The staff is fun and they have great pizza. And again, it is always fun to see people you know when you are out in town.
Sportsman’s Pub N Grub has great atmosphere. And we love the Dory-caught fish & chips. (www.facebook.com/Sportsmanspubngrub)
We are also looking forward to the season of farmer’s markets that is starting soon.
And as always,…. there are the goats.
Natural lawn mower.
