6/7/22 - Free Paddle Day

It has been really important to find some fun in living here too. We love being in and on the water. We heard that Nestucca Adventures, the local rental kayak & SUP rental shop, was having a “free paddle for locals” day. So we went! What fun!!

The managers, Riley and Amanda, are really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Giving locals the chance to try out the toys from their shop, and experience the river is both generous and brilliant.

We have had occasional days of fun and recreation, visited family and making new friends.

We have had to be purposeful about working hard, but also recreating and having fun. When we were done with our lovely paddle, we went home for some “goat chores,” and later we went out for dinner.
