6/1/22 - Living Room Demo

This whole thing is hard. I am not sure what people think sitting on the couch watching a “reno-show” on HGTV, but it all looks easier on TV. Don’t get me wrong, we knew what we were getting into here, but it is still hard. And as we get to the summer, with activities and options that are more fun than working in a construction zone, it is going to get harder to stay motivated.

We have continued to plug along at demo work. We have also followed up on all leads for finding a plumber, electrician and roofer that would take on the job. There is a ton of development happening now, and demand for trades-people in this part of the world is very high. Which means many of them will choose a new construction job over a renovation, and those are being scheduled out a couple months. It has been a challenge, but it seems we have found the tradespeople we need, now it it’s just a matter of scheduling them and prepping for their work. Oh, and paying them, of course.

Many days we do work that you would not notice with ‘before & after’ pics, but everyday we do something. Every day forward. Here is the latest update.

And, as always, I have to include a goat vid. This is an early one. They have grown a bit since then.
