12/13/22 - Heat Pump

At long last, after lots of scheduling difficulties, we were able to connect with the contractor who installs ductless heat pumps. Gary Johnson is the only recommendation I got in all the places I looked, and people I talked to, in Tillamook County, and is highly regarded. Gary has been running Northwest Ductless Heat Pumps for eight or nine years and has a tremendous reputation. Once we were able to arrange it, it only took a few hours to install, and will heat and cool the whole house from one central location. Now it is a matter of getting on to the next parts of the project so we can insulate the crawl space and the attic. Currently there is no insulation in those spaces because we still need plumbing and electrical work done in them. But with a heat source in the main part of the house we can work more comfortably. And since there was a clear day, Karin was working the burn barrel when the goats started playing in the packaging like kids on Christmas morning.
