8/16/22 - More Help

We have been really blessed by our family and friends in this adventure. Many offers to help and many, many words of encouragement along the way. Karin’s sister, Mary and her husband Dan, not only lent us the trailer that has been our home while destroying and rebuilding the house, they have now made two trips over to the coast to visit and help out. They get some beach time when they come to Pacific City, but they have also been generous with their time to help at our house. This trip Karin and Mary went after one of the remaining interior walls that we are going to open up.

And, Dan and I worked on excavating for the retaining wall by the driveway.

We also got a lot of trimming done on the hill behind the sand filter and the goat pen. Turned out to be a full load to dispose of at the transfer station. I have lost track of exactly how many trailer loads it has been, but it has been at least 5 loads of construction debris and 2 loads of “yard debris.” Regardless of how many, it always feels successful.

And… goats.
