5/25/22 - Upstairs & Hallway Demo
Demo is an ongoing work here. Every day there is something that needs tearing out. Some days it is small and unnoticeable, and other days it is large. The last few days we have been working on large. Karin did some work in the hallway and living room and I worked on the ceilings upstairs.
Karin is fascinated by the old wall paper and has the imagination to see how pretty it was when it was new. I seem to lack that appreciation, but here is what she found today.
Our walls are made of a variety of materials. There is wood paneling, which is the thin sheets (not planking), and wood planking, usually 1x6 boards, and fiber-board which was also used for some parts of the ceiling. There is one room upstairs that has some kind of hard plaster epoxy spread over planking, and there was one closet/crawlspace that had actual cardboard boxes, flattened out and nailed to the wall with wallpaper over the top of it.
Here is the work I did upstairs.
And as always, goats.
