7/28/22 - We Get Some Help

One of the great things about our work here has been the support of our family. And all of them want to help. (Maybe because we seem so pathetic, or like we are in over our heads.) We have had visits and help from a variety of loved ones, and most recently my parents, Dave & Judi, came to visit for a few days and helped us with some projects. My mom had found a product that she was excited to try out stripping the paint of some of the classic wooden doors that are beautiful, and we would like to repurpose. She found a citrus-based product that did a good job, but it took some work.

Dad, Karin and I worked on some trimming and cut back the hazelnut tree that was hanging over the house.

And the goats did what they are supposed to, they ate on the hillside, but they can always be called back with a little shake of grain in the feed bin.
