7/13/22 - Then Came Covid

The plumber came and got that work started, then left and we had a list of projects to do before he came back. But Covid got in the way. Being sick sucks! Being sick living in a camper at a house with limited plumbing sucks worse! As far as “roughing it” goes, I hope it doesn’t get any rougher than that. The plumber should have come back in a couple of days, but couldn’t come back for two weeks. We tested negative after a few days, but it took that long for us to feel well enough to do the projects, and buy the supplies needed, for the plumber to return and continue.

It was painful to be sick. It was hard to look at so much to do and not be able to do it. And as we were regaining our strength, everything was hard work.

Once we felt strong enough we took the trailer and went to Portland to buy supplies.

Toilets, shower stall, vanity, insulation drywall, lumber, tile, windows, tools and more.

It was a big trip that we had been saving up our energy for. Now things will move forward in new and exciting ways.

Again, it was a rough time. How rough? While being not well, we had to find creative ways to deal with limited plumbing fixtures… It was a long couple weeks…

And, the goats didn’t care that we were sick.
