4/9/23 - Easter Weekend
It has been a little longer between posts and I have neglected this a bit. But we have been having fun and making progress.
Our very first house guests were Karin’s sisters, Karol & Mary. They came in late March, we had a great time and they were very comfortable. Have to admit, it was strange for Karin and I. We have lived here almost exactly a year, and having someone else in the house with us felt very weird at first. By the time our visit was over, we were very sad to say goodbye. Thank you Karol, for coming from Minnesota, and Mary for helping shuttle from the airport. We can’t wait for you both to come again.
Then a couple weeks later our kids, Ivan and Kasey, and Kasey’s boyfriend Ali, came for a visit. Again we had a great time. We went out to eat, played games at PC Pour, and had some great beach time, including a bonfire.
The kids all wanted to help with a project too. So we worked together to get the roof on the new goat house and clean up some brush with the burn barrel. Getting the roof up on the goat house was a project that I had planned out, but definitely could not do alone.
We had such a great time together! And Ivan and Kasey surprised us by planning an Easter egg hunt for the parents!?! It was such a sweet idea, fun, and got a little competitive. Thank you kids! That was really special. And Ivan got a video of the whole thing.
And, of course, whenever we fire up the burn the goats are sure to “help”.
