3/27/23 - Ready for Company
It has been a long time. We are nearing the one year anniversary of our move and have finally come to the point of being ready for company. The spaces have been prepared, and the weather cooperated, so we were able to retrieve some things from storage. This is really momentous. Most of our earthly possessions have been in a storage unit in Tillamook for nearly a year. It does raise the question of whether we really need all of those possessions, but let’s not go there just yet.
We got our guest bed, some tables and chairs, and some books and belongings. And… the guest room is a little smaller than we had noticed. The queen bed fills the room more than we expected. It is still comfortable, and we will have to see what our company thinks. First we host Karin’s sisters, then a few weeks later our kids will come for a visit. We will see what the consensus is after that. It was also really important to finish the first part of the railing, so company don’t fall to their death from upstairs. So, that happened too.
Every day forward. That has been our mantra. The goats do their work, at least some every day, and help us move forward.
