We decided to go with a metal roof because of it’s durability, but also the look of it. While I have replaced a conventional roof, and worked with metal roofing, doing the whole roof was more that I could tackle alone. So we hired GOOD GUYS CONSTRUCTION to build out the garage roof and install the metal roof. The Roofers showed up and got right to work tearing off what we had not got to. For our metal we chose green and in the end are hoping for a lodge-in-the-woods look. We were not able to get all the tear off done on our own, so the crew got right work where we left off. (although, they were much better at it than we are.)

And along the way I took advantage of the roof being opened up to add insulation.

Because of the timing of when we had to schedule the work Labor Day weekend interrupted the project.

After a hard day’s work, if we sit down and let the goats out, this is usually what happens.
